This process can start as soon as the New Year Init is completed, and can go on until very close to school start, but must be completed before students are scheduled. Student attendance can’t be recorded until students are scheduled. Students do not get assigned to teachers in DNA until scheduled in Skyward. |

Needs to be completed by the first run of report cards in the fall. Templates can be created for the whole year from the start, or modified at every Report Card event. |

Mass Move Students to New Entity |

This process adds the outgoing class from one building as an incoming class in another. It allows the receiving building to perform Future Scheduling while including the students all that will be in the building the next year. |

Student Retentions & Graduations |
Flag students the will not be progressing to the next natural grade level, and students that have completed the HS graduation requirements. Students do NOT need to be Advanced to progress to the next grade level at the end of the school year (this process happens automatically in the EOY Procress). Retentions MUST be flagged before Graduations. Graduating students does not necessarily involve Withdrawing students, which is a totally different and separate process. To ensure the process works correctly without errors, retentions should occur first, the graduations. |

Applies to students moving from one Entity to another after the original Mass Move Students to New Entity step above. For example, if a student who would have progressed to the middle school gets dropped at the elementary, the middle school needs to be informed so that the student gets dropped at the middle school. Failing to do so will cause the student to show up as active for the following year when they should not. This also applies to retentions. |

TSDL Reporting |

TSDL reporting is normally due by mid-July, but the process of ensuring that curricula, courses, sections, meets, teachers and students are correctly setup should be part of everyday operations, stating from the New Year Init. Students’ courses that are considered summer courses may be included in the following year submission if they do not finish early enough to be included in the submission. |

Multiple Processes involved - Clock Hours, Food Service Status, No-Show Enrollment, etc. This is not a fixed time frame process, but instead the culmination of all the setup that starts with the New Year Init. Many of the components need to be completed before school starts, while others are completed between school start and Count Day. |

Report cards’ templates should be updated and tested before the actual planned printing dates. Schools may print report cards and/or progress reports as frequently, or as infrequently as they consider necessary, regardless of their Scheduling Terms and/or Grading Periods setup. |
