Dance materials in the CalArts library support the curricular needs of the School of Dance as well as the Institute as a whole. Faculty and students have access to 203,000 books; 12,748 film and video titles; 5,124 microfilms; 229 periodical subscriptions; 20,000 CDs/LPs; over 200,000 tracks of streamed music and more than 150 digital information resources.

Services located in the Library Visual Arts Center. The library also has a music listening area which includes cassette, LP and CD players. Two of the LP players can convert LPs to CDs or sound files. Headphones can be obtained from the Circulation Desk.
