Formerly the "Career Fair", the Center for Life and Work has revamped this day to include opportunities that all our students and alumnx may be interested in regardless of where they are professionally. So whether you are a current student looking for a side hustle to get that supplemental income, a soon-to-be graduate looking for an internship, or an alumnx looking for that next step in your career, we have a little something for everyone.

Bitter Root and LACE unfortunately will not be joining us tomorrow.

Outreach RecruiterImmediate Supervisor: Director of Outreach and Recruitment Gnomon-School of Animation, Visual Effects and Games is seeking an Outreach Recruiter to help recruit qualified prospective students. Candidates should be engaging public speakers, quick learners and highly motivated individuals. This position requires travel throughout the year as well as some evenings and weekends. Knowledge of visual arts and experience in art college admissions or education is preferable. The Outreach Recruiter is responsible for the general recruitment of qualified candidates for the school’s academic programs, which includes scheduling and conducting presentations of marketing material through speaking events, both on and offsite, and coordinating the school’s high school and college outreach effort. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
-Schedule, coordinate, and conduct school presentations and activities, including classroom visits, campus tours, career fairs, trade shows, portfolio reviews and monthly open houses.-Communicate effectively and consistently with prospective students, parents, and educators, and keep a log of communications and recruitment activities within the CRM database.-Develop and expand relationships with regional and national art teachers/ educators for ongoing recruitment, maintaining a database of relevant contacts-Plan, organize and execute necessary and frequent travel needed to recruit local, non-local, and international students-Enhance existing and build new strategic relationships with partners to benefit Gnomon, including; local and national art educators; high schools and colleges; international contacts; and relevant industry partners-Provide clear details to potential applicants, parents and educators about Gnomon’s admission procedures and policies; review portfolios of prospects to provide guidance and direction-Return web inquiries and calls promptly to all potential students and give accurate information about the programs, including entrance requirements, curricula and academic standards.-Execute strategic enrollment plans using best practices to achieve recruitment goals. Preferred Qualifications:Background or knowledge of visual arts, preferably visual effects, games and animationMinimum 2 years of Customer Service experienceExcellent presentation, interpersonal and collaborative skillset necessaryBachelor’s degree requiredKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce or related CRMWillingness to travel and work non-traditional hours as needed
Admissions AdvisorGnomon is the world leader in visual effects and animation for the film and gaming industry. We are seeking a creative that has a passion for what our school specializes in.
We are looking for an Admissions Advisor that is responsible for the general recruitment of qualified candidates for the school’s academic programs, which includes providing basic information, routine guidance and assistance to potential students on matters related to enrollment and the admissions process.
Experience in Admissions or Recruitment is not required—rather, we are seeking a creative individual, with at least a Bachelor’s degree in visual arts, to join our team to discuss student art portfolios with college hopefuls. Individuals who do not possess skills in art creation, digital production, or critique need not apply.
Responsibilities:Take inquiry calls from all potential students interested in knowing or receiving informationabout the programs—including entrance requirements, curricula and academic standards—and encourage qualified prospects to schedule an appointment for an interview.Schedule and conduct student interviews.Return web inquiries and calls promptly to all potential students and give accurate information about the programs, including entrance requirements, curricula and academic standards.Make outbound phone calls to potential students that have expressed interest in attending the institution.Follow up with interviews that did not progress in the enrollment process and dropped/cancelled students to resolve any issues or address concerns.Support and encourage students who have applied and/or enrolled about their decision tofurther their education through a series of scheduled follow‐up activities.Accurately account for all inquiries and the admissions activity associated with all inquiries within the student database.Conduct all activities in accordance with the highest ethical standards. Adhere to all state, and federal accreditation and school rules and regulations regarding student recruitmentAccurately portray Gnomon’s educational programs to all prospects with professionalism and integrity.
