Background
The Accelerated Medical Assisting program provides a new path to a career as a certified Medical Assistant. Modeled after Cabrillo’s Nursing, Radiological Technology, and Dental Hygiene programs, all students will take the same block of classes and move through the program together as one cohort. The courses provide a strong foundation in the essential skills employers have told us are needed to succeed in this career.

The first semester includes courses that develop the necessary math and writing skills as they are used in this profession. Each semester builds on the skills and knowledge developed in the previous one, so that by the end students are positioned for success.

The program is open, on a first come, first served basis, to anyone willing to work hard and commit to the entire block of classes. This program is full time, Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 4:30. It is designed to result in a Medical Assistant certificate and completion of externship hours within 4 semesters. Students may also complete an Associate in Science degree.

Remember, enrollment is on a first come, first served basis, so apply today at this link.
