#1 Delta ends Hawks Super Regional bid and their season..

The Hawks were out classed in the Super Regional as they were swept. The #1 nationally ranked team just had too much for the short handed Hawks, in their 3rd Super Regional bid. 

Super Regionals begin Fri. 5/8 @ #1 Delta...

For the 3rd year in a row, the Hawks will travel to a Big 8 school for the Super Regionals. This year it will be at #1 ranked Delta College. The series is a best of 3 format, with games on Friday @ 2pm, Sat @ 1pm and SUnday (if needed) at noon. 

Hawks return to Super Regionals for 3rd staight year. Beat Marin 4-2 in Game 3 after losing Game Two 6-3....

Andy Morris threw a complete game in game 3 to win the series, in one of the guttiest efforts in Hawk history. Zane Gelphman was the hitting star of the series for the Hawks.

Hawks win 5-1 Game 1 of the Regional Playoffs at Marin. Palazzo punches out 12 in the complete game win.....

Matt Palazzo was dominate again in the post season, throwing a complete game and punching out 12. The Hawks scored in 5 multiple innings and played their most complete game of the year. 

Game 2 of the series resumes Sat @ 11 am with the Hawks being the home team.

Frosh Catcher Houston Roberts, accepts scholarship to play at UC Davis in 2016...

Unanimous all conference catcher Houston Roberts has accepted and committed to UC Davis for the 2016 season. Roberts, out of Aptos HS, will be the 6th Hawk in the last 5 years to go to UC Davis. Roberts will have 3 years of eligibility remaining and becomes the 4th frosh Hawk in last 4 years to receive an athletic scholarship to a Div 1 school as a freshmen. 

6 Hawks named to all conference team....

6 Hawks received all league recognition for 2015. They are as follows:

1st Team: Devon Loomis (Pitcher), Angel Sanchez (Infielder), Houston Roberts (Catcher)

2nd Team: Matt Palazzo (Pitcher), Jake Raynaud (Outfield)

Honorable Mention: Zane Gelphman (Utility)

Hawks in playoffs for 5th straight year. #11 seed Hawks will be at #6 College of Marin for the Regional Round, in a 2 out of 3 format. Game 1 is Friday 5/1....

The hot Hawks enter the playoffs as the #11 seed, and will travel to the College of Marin, who they beat earlier this year, 2-1 at Marin. 

Game 1 is on Friday @ 2pm. Game 2 will have the Hawks as the home team and start at 11am on Sat. If a 3rd game is needed, it would start 30 minutes after game 2. 

The last 3 years the Hawks have played the full 3 games in the 1st round, and this should be another great post season battle, adding to recent Hawk post season traditions.

Hawks respond with 5-0 shutout of #5 CSM, to start their five game homestand.... 

In an emergency start, SO Ryan Stevinson threw 5 strong innings as the Hawks bounced back and shutout CSM 5-0. Zane Greenberg and Luke Tokunaga each had 2 hits to lead the Hawks to victory.

Capozza throws a gem, Hawks beat Chabot on the road 3-0...

Ryan Capozza threw a masterful 8 innings and improved to 4-0 with an ERA of .67. Houston Roberts had 2 doubles to lead the Hawks offense. The Hawks retrun to action Sat at MPC @ noon.

Road weary Hawks lose a late one to Hartnell 7-6...

The Hawks 12th road game out of 15 games, resulted in a sloppy effort as they lose 7-6. Hartnell threw out 4 guys at the plate to include the last out of the game on an attempted sac fly. 

The Hawks return to action Thurs 3/5 @ Chabot College.

Long 4 hour game, Hawks win at Sac City 7-5..

In a rematch of last years playoff series which the HAwks won 2-1, Cabrillo wins a marathon game in Sacramento 7-5. Andrew Dughi picks up his 1st collegiate win in relief. Devon Loomis earned his 1st collegiate save w a scoreless 9th.

Hawks smash Ohlone, 9-0 in conference opener, move to 2-0 in conference.. 

Ryan Capozza threw a 2 hit gem as the Hawks offense had 4 triples and a double in their offense, led by Jake Raynaud's two triples. 

The Hawks have a non-conference game Sat @ Sac City 1pm, and return to conference play Tuesday at Hartnell. 

Defending two time Coast Conference Champs, open up 2015 conference campaign w a 3-2 win at Canada... 

Devon Loomis threw 6 1/3 string innings giving up no earned runs, and led the Hawks to their conference opening game win. Matthew Valdez' bat returned as he had 3 hits to include a double. Matthew Palazzo picked up the save. 

The Hawks return to action Thursday at the Nest vs Ohlone College at 2pm. Ryan Capozza takles the mound for the Hawks.

#12 Hawks leave bases loaded in 9th, lose at home to #1 Delta 4-3..

Coast Conference Champs #12 Cabrillo, open season next week in the East Bay, Tues 1/27 @ Los Medanos and Thurs 1/29 @ DVC... 

The Hawks start their quest for an unprecedented 3rd straight Coast Conference title, Tues 1/27 at Los Medanos. Returning 1st All Conference pitcher Ryan Capozza, will take the mound in the opener and newcomer Devon Loomis (transfer from Univ of San Francisco) will take the mound on Thursday 1/29 at Diablo Valley College. 

The Hawks return many key players from last years conference champ and super regional team. Pitcher Matt Palazzo will make up the rest of the starting staff. Returners Andrew Dughi, Andy Morris and Ryan Stevenson return to to anchor the staff. Matt Deane, a key pitcher on the 2013 conference champ and super regional team also returns to the back end of games. Newcomers Kyle Cambron, Johhny Briedenthal, Thijs Teenwick and Johhny Carmona should be key members of the staff. 

Lucas Hewitt and 1st teamer Matthew Valdez return from last years team, which has added many older and key players. Mark Ortiz and JQ Folena (both starters from the 2013 champions) return from injury. Scott Akrop (San Jose St.) and frosh Zane Gelphman look to provide power in the middle of the lineup. WIth the outfielders of Jake Raynaud, Luke Tokunaga and Daniel Gonzales, this position is stong. Angel Sanchez will man 2nd base after playing in 2013 at Arizona West and newcomer Zane Gelphman looks to fullfill many roles. The catching position will be manned by Houston Roberts, Mike Mine, and Chris Ortiz. 

The Hawks have a daunting pre-conference schedule featuring perrenial powers Feather River, Delta, Marin and Sac City. 16 of the first 18 games will be on the road.

Hawks crush the classroom this Fall, highest team GPA in 7 years. The Hawks earn a team GPA of 3.11... 

WIth great focus and effort, the Hawks showed vast improvement in the classroom, earning a team GPA of 3.11. By far the highest GPA of any Hawks squad of late, credit goes to the players efforts and a tremendous academic environment created by Academic Adviser/Study Hall coordinator/Asst Coach Dylan Gavin. 

The Hawks look to improve upon this GPA this upcoming semester.

4 Hawks to participate in the Nor Cal Sophmore Sunday at Cosumnes River CC.. 

1b Mike Angulo, SS Matthew Valdez, RHP Matt Palazzo and RHP Ryan Capozza, will all represent the Hawks in the state Sophmore Showcase this Sunday @ Consumes River CC. This is a highly attended evert by all D1 and pro scouts and is run by the CA JC coaches.
