Join Us for the CAAHE Biennial Conference in June
By MariaElena Hassaine, CAAHE Secretary and Treasurer and IPD Academic and Institutional Services Project Manager

We are very excited to announce that this year’s Biennial Conference will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana, on June 18–20, 2014, in the historic Bourbon Orleans Hotel.  To make a reservation and receive the discounted $119/night rate, please call the toll free number 866-513-9744, ask for In-House Reservations, and request the CAAHE Block.  Alternatively, you may make an online reservation.

On Wednesday, June 18, please join us for a conference kickoff activity that will inspire us to begin communicating and collaborating.  We will participate in a group service project that benefits children in foster care.  To help with this effort, please bring school supplies such as loose-leaf paper, pencils, coloring books, rulers, Kleenex, or pocket dictionaries.  Following the service project, we will enjoy dinner together.  This kickoff activity will begin at 3:00 p.m. and is open to all attendees and guests.

On June 19, our keynote speaker, Dr. Brenda Harms, will discuss contemporary trends in adult higher education related to the convergence of marketing and enrollment.  Workshops will follow for the remainder of the day.  On Thursday evening, one staff and one faculty member will receive the Paul E. Hoffner Outstanding Service Award.  The conference will conclude on Friday afternoon.  We will also feature our institutions’ service projects through videos and photographs during the conference.

Registration for the forthcoming CAAHE Biennial Conference is open.  You may register and learn more about the conference using the following link: CAAHE Biennial Conference RegistrationClick here to see the agenda for the conference.

We look forward to seeing you in June!
