Welcome to Kindergarten!!!

I want to welcome you to your child's first year of school.  It is my pleasure to be your child's first elementary school teacher.

Family is very important to me and I consider your family a part of mine when you enter my classroom.  We will share many family experiences together throughout the year.  I will learn the names of their family members and they will learn mine.  So yes your child is "my child" when they are in my care.

Things to know for this year!!!
  •  Kindergarten Orientation will take place Tuesday, August 28, 2018, between 9:30- 10:15 & 10:45-11:30
  •  You will be assigned a time slot to attend and it will be sent to you in your "teacher packet" from your child's teacher.  Teacher packets are usually mailed out right after the official school letter is sent.  If you did not get a school letter, call the office to see if your paperwork is complete.
  • You can bring supplies in on orientation day so your child will not have to bring them in on the first day of school.

  • Supplies: Each teacher will send you "their list" but all of us generally need the same things.
  1. A non-rolling backpack, large enough to carry a folder & a lunch box.
  2. Lunch box & a snack holder (2 separate items)
  3. 4 pack of play-doh (labeled with their name on it)
  4. 12 Elmer's glue sticks
  5. Box of tissues
  6. 4 fat & 4 skinny Expo low odor dry erase markers
  7. 3 white cotton t-shirts (please wash beforehand, label in collar area with last name, GO LARGER than usual, they shrink!)
  8. A small blanket or towel with their name on it. We rest in the beginning of the year.  Please make sure it can fit in a Shop Rite plastic bag.
I cannot wait to see you on August 28th and I am busy setting up my classroom already.  I have so many fun activities planned for us and excited to begin.  Please email me if you have any questions or comments.  Enjoy your summer and see you soon!!
