I love teaching 5th grade! My teaching experience began in 1997 while serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in southern Honduras where I taught Environmental Education in several rural schools. I completed my MA in 2001 and began teaching bilingual 4th/5th grade in Watsonville, CA. In 2006 my family and I left to spend three years living in Oxford, England where I split my time between caring for our two young boys (Elijah and Calvin), volunteering at the local school teaching ESL, and working part time as a lab assistant at the University. We then moved to Boulder in 2009 and I spent one year teaching ESL at Creekside Elementary before taking my current 5th grade position at Crest View. Crest View is the best school in Boulder! I couldn't ask for a more lively, dedicated and supportive staff and I adore the community and families that Crest View serves.
