Group Discussion

ISTE Students' Chapter organized a Group Discussion Round on 31th August  2012, from the nine students who participated at the Innovative Idea Round and Elocution Competition held earlier. Topics for the Group Discussion Round were: " Should Engineers Be Encouraged to Pursue MBA and be Managers?  Will it be a Waste of Talent?" There was a live participation from all the participants.The program was a good success. The Jury declared three winners  Xema Pathak (first),  Yash Saraiya  (second) and Komal Patel (third). About 30 students, and 6 faculty members witnessed the discussion.

Result

First Prize         :      Xema Pathak  [EL]

Second Prize    :      Yash Saraiya  [CE]

Third Prize        :      Komal Patel   [CP]

Elocution Round

ISTE Students' Chapter organized an Elocution Competition, from students who participated at the Innovative Idea Round, on 30th August 2012.  Topics for Elocution Round were 1, Are present-day engineers sufficiently creative? What needs to be done?  and   2, Towards better Industry-Institute interaction. My ideas. The program was a good success, with about 51 students attending the same. The judges and students further exchanged their views, on what can possibly be done. The Jury declared three winners  Xema Pathak (first), Saurabh Patel (Second) and Komal Patel (third) ,and decided to allow all the 9 candidates to the Group Discussion Program, to be held on 31th August  2012. 

 

Result:

Third Prize        :      Komal Patel     [CP]

Innovative Idea Presentation

ISTE Students' Chapter organized an “Innovative Idea Contest”, from students having CPI greater than 8.00,as a part of an exercise to choose the Best Student from all final year students of all disciplines. Nine entries were received from,Yash Saraiya, Komal Patel, Khushbu Patel, Priyank Mukeshkumar Shah, Parth Desai, Xema Pathak, Kunj N Vadgama, Manthan Solanki, Ssaurabh Patel. All of these students were picked up for the next  “Elocution Round”, to be organized on 30/08/2012.

RFID

ISTE Students' Chapter organized a lecture on " Introduction to RFID" by Dr. J M Rathod, at 6.00 pm, on 26/07/2012. The lecture was well organized by the efforts of students of Electronics Engineering Discipline, and well attended by 53 students. Prof. Mahendra Prajapati and Prof. Hiren Patel provided all the necessary encouragement to the students in organizing the event.
