29th June
Did I say four days ago that the Cartic route object for NWM (or any other route for that matter) would take a day or so...
Well I've now finished it four days later.
Here shown with one of the Class 66 route objects I made a while ago.
The train with a two car set on the rear.
25th June 2015
So what's happened in the last week?
Some more work on the 59 and then I put the alterations I made to the Virgin Mk2e coaches that have been released into the lower mark versions.
I then started on a Mk2c BSO.
But I got bored with that as well..
So I moved on to this.
Very much a WIP, as a Network West Midlands route object.
Although it should take only a day or two before it's not!
18th June 2015
I got a bit bored at looking at EWS 59204 every time I run the WIP in NWM so today I started on a reskin.
Still 59204 but now in DBS red.
12th June 2015
The bogies are now basically finished, so I've moved on to adding Class 59 battery boxes and started on the air tanks.
9th June 2015
Sorry about there being a bit of a gap since the last post.
The bogies have just a few hours work left on them.
1st June 2015
On the bogies still, the sandbox lids have been added and also the sandpipes from the sandboxs.
29th May 2015
Still working on the Class 59 bogies, the axle box and bearings have been separated from the frame and made more 3D and the brake gear has been added.
Also detail added to the lower parts of the bogie sides.
26th May 2015
Back to working on the bogies.
Most of inside the frame details have been added, which the detail added to the top of the bogies is part of and added 3d shocks to the middle axle.
Next work on the lower parts of the frames, also add the brakes, sand pipes and filler lids to the sandboxs.
Shown here passing Colas 47727 'Rebecca' on the WIP current version of Network West Midlands.
21st May 2015
More work on the EWS Class 59/2.
I've finished altering the roof to 59204 spec, redrawn the bufferbeam and moved steps and the air pipes around to their location on 59204.
The fuel tank has been resized and the battery boxes moved.
Sandboxs have been added to the bogies and I've started detailing them up.
17th May 2015
For the last few days I've been working on a Class 59 external or actually for one of my trains rather than it being a Martin Corbett BVETMD production. :)
Thanks to Brian Daniels (yes that one, if your a UK modeller) for his permission to use his photo's, in this case not only to refer to but the shown here Class 59 bogie sides from three of his photo's.
A Class 66 to compare with in the screenshot.
13th May 2015
Today I've released the 47840 and 47847 double header or the 'Cross Country Locomotive Farewell'.
Sorry I can't make it sound like two loco's under power. See yesterdays post why.
12th May 2015
I am now working on this one.
It's the 'Cross Country Locomotive Farewell' train or the last time a loco hauled train would be run by VXC rather than a Voyager.
I can't find out if that was the case though!
This one has a problem that you can't configure in Open Bve what was a double headed train or that both loco's provided the power to it.
So sounds on the leading loco only.
This ones why I made 47840 in BR blue and large logo 47847.
Here's Martin Loaders photo I've been working from. http://www.hondawanderer.com/47840_47847_Silverton_2002.htm
10th May 2015
Now released.
Virgin West Coast 57304 ' Gordon Tracy' on a West Coast DVT Mk3 set with 87015 'Howard of Effingham' on the rear.
The light engine version of 57304 has also been revised.
87015 on the rear of the train.
8th May 2015 a bit later
Work has moved on to this one.
Sorry wrong screenshot, I've released that one today....
But the rule with the above is not to run a train at 95 mph into a siding, it may fall over when it hits the bufferstops!
Virgin West Coast 57304 ' Gordon Tracy' finally has a train to pull, or a West Coast DVT Mk3 set with 87015 'Howard of Effingham' on the rear. A WIP.
8th May 2015
Released today, Virgin Cross Country 47847 'Railway World Magazine/Brian Morrison' in BR Large Logo blue hauling a West Coast Mk3 and DVT set on a XC weekend service.
Also released is Riviera Trains 47839 hauling a Arriva Trains Wales Cardiff Valleys service in 2005.
The Valleys services are all stations these ran to DMU timings.
So full power and late and heavy braking to keep to the timings!
6th May 2015
The Class 87 route object I made for NWM last year that was in the distance in the screenshot on the 22nd of April post looks like this.
Quite photo real in places!
But not really a colour match or as detailed as a Virgin Class 47 or the Mk2 and Mk3 coaches I've released so it's been altered a bit to match.
Does it mean a 87 cabview/train is coming soon?
Nope..
But it does mean some Virgin West Coast 'drags' are coming soon.
That might include the odd Class 57/3.
4th May 2015
Now released Virgin Cross Country 47828 'Severn Valley Railway' on a Mk3 with DVT Virgin West Coast set but on a XC service.
3rd May 2015
Whilst working on the recent 47's I noted an error with the 47811 Freightliner (ex FGW) container flats released some time ago.
So I've corrected it and it's now available for download, the light engine version first released does not have the same error.
I left the ETS/ETH off the bufferbeams!
Or the orange bit's...
2nd May 2015
Now released on the 'actual' Class 47 download page are three revised versions of the 47 with Mk2e coaches and a new release of 47840 'North Star' with the whole train in Inter City livery.
A livery still seen in 2001 on Virgin Cross County loco's and stock.
Both 47829 'Police' and 47853 'XP64' loco's have also been tweaked a bit, as have the coaches and they all have a Central Door Lock light animation added.
Some of you may have guessed that the odd screenshot like the one above, are on the current NWM WIP on this page.
Yes it's coming soon, but not yet.
But I can tell you it will have the route objects I spent a lot of time on last year or 47's, 56's, 57's, 66's, 87's and the RGH20C rail grinder.
Plus some new wagon objects.
1st May 2015
Yesterday I said there would be another 47840, so here it is.
Tomorrow I plan to release a Inter City Executive version of the 47 and Mk2e's, that's 47840 and train.
Although it actually dates from 2001, so a Virgin Cross Country.
The Mk2 versions already released will also appear in modified form to correct numerous errors and add a new feature.
Animated toilet discharge on to the track......
It will be a random feature so if I get the config wrong it all could be dumped at the same time!
Although not in stations I hope.
That's not allowed.
Ok, it's Central Door Locking lights being lit in stations.
As I've so far failed to make 'discharge' look realistic enough....
30th April 2015
I've finished 47847.
Then there's 47840 'North Star'.
And 47840 'North Star'.......
Another Class 47 coming soon is 47840 'North Star'.
Have I repeated myself there?
29th April 2015
You may have noticed that there's no ETS or the orange bits on the bufferbeams on the 27th.
So today that's what I've been working on, unlike all the 47/4's I've released this loco has a different layout of the ETS.
27th April 2015
BR blue, quite a problem to get right or even near it!
So here's a screenshot of my latest attempt.
26th April 2015
Today a Work in Progress shot with a difference.
Virgin 47828 'Severn Valley Railway' on a West Coast Mk3 with DVT set passes Virgin 47805 with a Mk2 set at Norton on another WIP.
Res 47756 'Cambridge TRSD' waits for the road.
The route might be the other WIP...
22nd April 2015
Today I added new details to the front bufferbeam area on the DVT.
I also thought it might look quite nice to show it leading a West Coast set with a Class 87 on the rear propelling the train.
21st April 2015
More work on the DVT.
I've darkened the bogies to make them more of a match to the Mk3 coaches and replaced the underframe 'box' with some rather more correct sides that also match the Mk3 coaches.
The underframe before came from Hornby!
Or not that correct at all..
There's also a few more bits added.
The front bufferbeam is going to be made a bit more 3D.
What roof details there are have been added and the handrails on the sides have been redrawn.
On the gangway end.
It now has a DVT gangway and some more details added.
14th April 2015
Today I've added the roof ends to the gangway end of the DVT.
13th April 2015
I've gone back to working on the Mk3 coaches and bar some odd bits they are finished.
So back to the Mk3 DVT.
Another version of a Mk3a RFM has also been added, the screenshot also shows the finished Mk3b BFO.
3rd April 2015
Here's a shot of one of the new released Class 47's.
It's 47853 or one of the Virgin XC heritage repainted loco's.
Work on the Mk3 coaches and DVT continues.
A Mk3b BFO (Brake First Open) has been added.
The DVT.
1st April 2015
Released today is a Northern Ireland Railways Class 80 DEMU, this is a photoreal cabview/train with real Class 80 sounds.
The sounds were recorded by a friend of Martin Corbett of BVETMD calling himself ''Thumperman', Mixed by Martin and myself with a sound config by Martin.
So yet another Bve4Trains and BVETMD joint effort!
The photo's used for the cab by Richard Boddy.
I've also released two more Class 47's that can only be found by going to the Class 47 actual download page at the moment.
