Advanced Opportunities allow for students to individualize their high school learning plan to get a jump start on their future. These options include:
*Dual credit
*Technical Competency Credit
*Advanced Placement
*International Baccalaureate programs.

Butte County Middle/Senior High School offers Advanced Opportunities through dual credit courses (high school/college credit) either taught online or by high school staff. Advance Placement courses, as well as Technical Competency credit courses are available online, as well.

The Fast Forward program provides every student attending an Idaho public school an allocation of $4,125.00 to use towards Advanced Opportunities in grades 7-12. The program was expanded by the Legislature in 2016 through the passing of House Bill 458. The fund can be used for:

  • Overload Courses - For students with a full schedule during the school day/year and who choose to take extra courses outside of the regular school day.
  • Dual Credits - Courses taken for both college and high school credit.
  • Exams (AP, CLEP, IB)
  • Workforce Training (CTE)

**Scholarships and other opportunities are, also, available through Idaho Advanced Opportunities.
