" The purpose of the Burlington Writers Club is to stimulate interest in creative writing through study and practice."
...from its Constitution
Burlington Writers Club, a member of Alamance Arts, is celebrating its 60th year of continuous service to the public and the
2015 - 2016 Officers and Committees
Officers for the Burlington Writers Club are elected at the end of each club year and may serve a two-year term.
Our Constitution reads, "Application for active membership shall be made by candidate’s expression of a genuine interest in creative writing, and payment of annual dues." If you are interested in writing, be it poetry, plays, fiction, non-fiction, memoir, family history, or children's literature, then join us in our efforts to grow as writers. We are an eclectic group of serious and casual writers, even a few professionals, all at varying levels of talent and experience.
BWC is open to all adults and Alamance County high school seniors interested in honing their writing skills and supporting our club's activities.
Dues are $20.00 per year, $10.00 for Alamance County high school seniors, and payable at the June meeting, or whenever you first join. The first meeting is free.
Please make checks payable to Burlington Writers Club and mail to our treasurer: Carolyn Councilman, Burlington Writers Club, 7022 Bethel South Fork Rd., Graham, NC 27253. Please note on the memo line 'dues 2015-16'.
We hope to see you at our meeting. Thank you.
