Who Are We?

Bure Park Juniors FC is a FA Charter Standard Community football club. We are based in Bicester, North Oxfordshire and play our football following the Respect Codes of Conduct.

From U7 to U10 we play the FA’s version of football called Mini-Soccer and Youth format from U11 upwards. Both of these formats offer a shrunk down version of the full game, with smaller pitches and goals. Read more about the Youth Development changes that were introduced in spring 2012 here.

We believe that this type of football is excellent for younger players because it means:
    • More touches of the ball to increase participation and enjoyment.
    • Fewer players on the pitch meaning simpler decisions and better understanding.
    • Smaller pitches meaning greater concentration and interest among participants.
The FA focuses on 4 areas at grassroots football - technical, physical, social and psychological skills. Everything we are trying to achieve revolves around this with an emphasis on enjoying ourselves - although it is nice to win, this isn’t the be all and end all!
Club History

Bure Park Juniors FC began life as a small group of parents meeting up on a Saturday morning for a ‘kick about’ with their young children.

With the popularity of this session we soon realised we would need to get a bit more organised and so the club was formed in a official capacity in 2008 when the first team was registered to play in a league.

Now we continue to grow year-on-year and are registered as a Charter Standard club affiliated to the Oxfordshire Football Association. We have teams playing in both the Witney and District Youth League (WDYFL) and the Oxford Mail Youth League (OMYFL) and we have created a fun and friendly club through which both girls and boys can play football.

If you would like to join the club or get involved as a volunteer, we'd love to hear from you here.
