The SGA is the School Government Association, established by Sem’s SGA Constitution.  The SGA’s membership includes all students, faculty, and staff – our entire school!  The SGA’s governing body is the School Council, made up of the four all-school SGA officers elected each spring for the following school year, the class presidents and vice presidents, the heads of SGA-chartered clubs and organizations, residential student representatives, and a faculty advisor.  Through the SGA and the School Council students have a unique opportunity to acquire citizenship skills and experience and to assume leadership roles in school life.  The School Council's primary function is to enable direct student participation in decision-making affecting the school community.  The School Council holds its meetings approximately every two weeks.  These meetings are open to all members of the SGA.
