Hola, I am Sr. Ki.
I was raised in Southern New Hampshire. As an undergraduate at the University of Vermont, I double-majored in Spanish and Psychology and graduated cum laude. Afterward, I served in the Peace Corps in the Philippines, where I taught English as a Second Language (ESL) for two years, mostly to 7th and 8th grade students. While there, I founded my Filipino [public] high school's English Club and learned to speak Tagalog at an intermediate level. After returning to the U.S.A., I enrolled at the Boston Academy of English where I received my Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate with Honors. Then, for a year and a half, I studied at Boston University and graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching Modern Foreign Language Education; my student-teaching was done at Boston Green Academy, a Boston Public School. Afterward, I taught Spanish and ESL at CATS Academy Boston, a private boarding high school for international students. Currently, I have a Massachusetts Professional License to teach Spanish (grades 5-12) with a Sheltered English Immersion Endorsement. In the past, I had passed licensure exams in order to teach Spanish in California and in New Hampshire.
If you want to know more about me, come and speak with me during non-class time.
