Banquet at 6PM on Thurs. Jun. 8 at Oakledge

The end-of-year track banquet will be on Thursday, June 8 at the Oakledge Park Upper Shelter.  Originally it was scheduled for Tuesday, June 6, and some of your older versions of the schedule may show it as Tuesday -- I moved it to Thursday to avoid the academic awards banquet.

We hope athletes and their families can join us to celebrate the season.  It is catered by Papa Franks, and we are asking for a $5 donation per person to help defray the food and award costs (up to a max of $10 per family).

Remember that Oakledge Park has self-pay kiosks for parking, but bikers/walkers are admitted for free.

Did it rain on Saturday? Of course! Did we succeed in hosting because of your efforts? Of course!

Thanks so much for all of your hard work on Saturday in hosting the Vermont State Track and Field Championship..  So many coaches, athletes and parents came up after the meet to tell us how much they enjoy competing at Burlington, and that is all due to your efforts.  We are the community called upon to host the state championships every single year for good reason.  Not even the rain can knock us off our stride.
