The BHS/GHS Writer's Handbook

This edition of the BHS/GHS Writer's Handbook includes a section on APA (Section E) as well as several appendices, one of which includes twelve graphic organizers. If you see one that looks helpful, print-friendly copies are available to download below and from the sidebar at the left. You'll also find copies in the Academic Support Center.

Rather than provide a copy of the handbook to every student, we've distributed classroom sets to every English classroom, though some fortunate students receive their own copies at their teacher's request. We've also printed extra copies for any others wishing their own copy. You are also welcome to print whatever of the below sections you need, off-campus. Print and refer to the table of contents for help finding exactly what you need.

This year (2020 - 2021) marks the opening of Gallatin High School, which has drawn half of the freshman, sophomore, and junior classes, as well as half of our faculty, staff, and administration. And, as you can see from its title, this handbook will take up residence there as well—at least until the English teachers at GHS decide how they want to approach their own handbook. Perhaps it will continue as a joint venture . . .
