COVID Action Team Student Leader

DUTIES:
Support members who have reason to believe they have been exposed to Covid, who have tested positive for Covid, or who are identified as at-risk of exposure to Covid.
Serve as liaison to University Health Services and Berkeley Public Health in regard to Covid cases and Covid prevention practices.
Serve as liaison for Covid-related matters to the BSC Emergency Response Team, the Board of Directors, and members-at-large.
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to multi-task and follow complex procedures.
Flexible schedule and good time management skills.
Ability to work on your own and know when to reach out for support.
Ability to analyze a complex situation quickly and make good decisions regarding next steps.
Tact and diplomacy when handling sensitive situations or individuals under duress.
Current BSC member who meets student eligibility guidelines to hold this position.
HOURS/PAY: This is a 10-20 hour/week position, compensated with a rent credit at workshift rate or 10 hrs/week (guaranteed) and up to 10 additional hours per week depending on how many positive COVID cases there are. The first 5 hours will go toward fulfilling the 5 hours/week workshift requirement. If for whatever reason this job begins mid-semester, the stipend will be prorated. This position does not fulfill the workshift requirement in the apartments. Instead, apartment members who may hold this position will receive the minimum 10-hour compensation, or additional hours if worked.
