JOB DESCRIPTION:  The two Non-Perishable Coordinators oversee packing, delivery, and inventory of non-perishables and supplies, and supervise non-perishable packing and delivery crews. They coordinate receiving of non-perishables and supplies and report discrepancies to the CFS Supervisor. They ensure all work areas are orderly, safe, and clean, including delivery vehicles. They lead a team of workshifts to pack and deliver non-perishables, supplies, coffee, tea, spices, kitchenware, and occasionally, furniture, on Tuesdays and Thursdays; they also lead a crew to procure large quantities of key items directly from Costco, as needed. They maintain organized and complete delivery records and work to ensure that workplace safety and security protocols are followed, along with other duties assigned by the CFS Supervisor.
 
REQUIREMENTS:   You must be able to drive a truck (automatic), have a valid drivers’ license, a good driving record, and be willing and able to follow safe driving policies.  You must be reliable and punctual, have excellent organizational skills, good oral/written communication skills, and a willingness/ability to supervise and train others and work with a team.  You must be able to count items and keep accurate records.  You must be willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and on a regular basis.  You must have good judgment and ability to problem-solve (e.g. for substitutions, quality, shelf-life, etc.)  Previous experience with foodservice operations and/or supervising and leading a team preferred.  You may not be a member of the Board of Directors and hold a central level job.  You must be a current BSC member and meet student eligibility guidelines to hold this position.  Required Scheduling Availability: Tuesday and Thursday strongly preferred; Monday & Wednesday afternoon also acceptable.  

HOURS/PAY:  
This is a 9-hour/week position, compensated with a rent credit at $15.00/hour for 4 hours/week and fulfilling your five-hours/week workshift requirement. Apartment residents will receive an additional rent credit stipend for the five workshift hours (at $15.00/hour), as this job does not replace the workshift requirement at the apartments. If for whatever reason this job begins mid-semester, the stipend will be prorated. This position starts in Fall and lasts indefinitely, although you would not work during the summer (as CFS operates only during Fall & Spring Semesters). This job is eligible for work-study compensation.
