JOB DESCRIPTION: Accountable for maintenance of the dairy delivery system to the houses, the Dairy Delivery Coordinator is responsible for transporting milk, eggs, and milk by-products to the houses Monday, Wednesday & Friday evenings (4-9pm).  The Dairy Delivery Coordinator will be assisted by a work-shift crew, which the Dairy Delivery Coordinator will train and supervise. In addition to deliveries to houses, an essential job function includes keeping an accurate record of inventory and dairy delivery receipts.



REQUIREMENTS: You must be an eligible BSC member to hold this position. You must be willing  to drive an automatic transmission truck (Training on how to drive the truck and appropriate safety protocols will be provided-includes knowledge of properly packing a truck (i.e. not piling heavy boxes on top of fragile items). You must have a valid California Drivers’ License and a good driving record.  You must be able to lift 50 lbs and occasionally more on a regular and continuous basis. You must be willing to learn dairy quality and storage requirements.  You must know how to count accurately and keep good records. Common sense and good judgment are necessary and you must be well organized, responsible, and reliable. Some knowledge of BSC food service and/or other food distribution systems is helpful.  You may not be a member of the Board of Directors and hold a central level job.  You cannot hold a compensated house-level position and this position concurrently. You must be a current BSC member and meet student eligibility guidelines to hold this position.  


HOURS/PAY:  This is a 17-hour/week position, compensated with a rent credit at $14.00/hour for 12 hours/week and fulfilling your five-hours/week workshift requirement. Apartment residents will receive an additional rent credit stipend for the five workshift hours (at $14.00/hour), as this job does not replace the workshift requirement in this instance. If for whatever reason this job begins mid-semester, the stipend will be prorated. This position starts in Fall and lasts indefinitely, although you would not work during the summer (as CFS operates only during Fall & Spring Semesters). This job is eligible for work-study compensation.
