‪House Addition Feasibility Project - Finance Researcher 

JOB DESCRIPTION 

‪The House Addition Feasibility Project will explore the possibility of adding more bedrooms to existing co-ops. The Finance Researcher will research and compare sources of funding for potential additions to existing BSC-owned houses. These sources include but are not limited to the City of Berkeley Affordable Housing Trust Fund, state funding, private foundation grants, and bank loans. You will be working with two other students and a BSC alumni.


REQUIREMENTS 

‪You have to be able to use spreadsheets. Some affordable housing knowledge is helpful but not required. You need to have excellent written & verbal communication skills. Good organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, are required. You need to be well organized, responsible, and reliable.


‪HOURS/PAY 

‪This job averages 5 hours/week and runs for a total of 7 weeks (excluding Spring Break). It is compensated at workshift rate for a total stipend of $455. It does not fulfill your five-hour/week workshift requirement. This job starts on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 and ends on Friday, April 8, 2016. If, for whatever reason this job begins mid-semester, the compensation will be pro-rated.
