House Addition Feasibility Project - Designer 



JOB DESCRIPTION

‪The House Addition Feasibility Project will explore the possibility of adding more bedrooms to existing co-ops. The Designer will research zoning and building codes to determine which BSC-owned houses can be enlarged, visit those houses and talk with residents on where an addition would make sense based on the building layout, and create diagrams and floor plans showing potential additions. You will be working with two other students and a BSC alumni.


‪REQUIREMENTS

‪You have to be able to use 2D graphic design and 3D modeling software such as Adobe Illustrator and Sketchup. Some architecture, construction, or urban design knowledge is helpful but not required. Good organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, are required. You need to be well organized, responsible, and reliable.


‪HOURS/PAY

‪This job averages 5 hours/week and runs for a total of 7 weeks (excluding Spring Break). It is compensated at workshift rate for a total stipend of $455. It does not fulfill your five-hour/week workshift requirement. This job starts on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 and ends on Friday, April 8, 2016. If, for whatever reason this job begins mid-semester, the compensation will be pro-rated.
