JOB DESCRIPTION: The two Afternoon Delivery Coordinators work together to deliver perishables (meat, cheese, frozen, bread & produce) from CFS to the houses Monday, Wednesday, & Friday afternoons from 1pm – 6pm and also take care of the paperwork involved.

REQUIREMENTS: You have to be able to drive a truck, and have a valid drivers’ license and a good driving record.  You have to be able to lift lots of boxes weighing 50 lbs and occasionally more.  You need to be well organized, responsible, and reliable – many a dinner depends on you!!  You have to know how to count accurately and keep good records, and you ought to know something about produce and other perishables (like not putting the tomatoes on the bottom or leaving meat sitting un-refrigerated).  Common sense and good judgment are very helpful.  YOU NEED VERY GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS SINCE YOU WILL BE WORKING WITH A PARTNER.  Some knowledge of BSC food service or other food distribution systems is required.  You may not be a member of the Board of Directors and hold a central level job.  You cannot hold a compensated house-level position and this position concurrently. You must be a current BSC member and meet student eligibility guidelines to hold this position.


HOURS/PAY:  This is a 17-hour/week position, compensated with a rent credit at $14.00/hour for 12 hours/week and fulfilling your five-hours/week workshift requirement. Apartment residents will receive an additional rent credit stipend for the five workshift hours (at $14.00/hour), as this job does not replace the workshift requirement in this instance. If for whatever reason this job begins mid-semester, the stipend will be prorated. This position starts in Fall and lasts indefinitely, although you would not work during the summer (as CFS operates only during Fall & Spring Semesters). This job is eligible for work-study compensation.
