JOB DESCRIPTION: The Fenwick/Rochdale Maintenance Crew provides prompt and effective response to the maintenance needs of the Fenwick Weavers Village/Rochdale Village apartment complexes and its members. A Crew Member must be able to work both independently and in a team atmosphere. They must work with Central Maintenance, the Apartment Manager, and other Crew Members to ensure the smooth running of the Maintenance Department. They must attend scheduled weekly meetings with other Maintenance Crew members and attend all maintenance training workshops.
REQUIREMENTS: This job is open to BSC members only. This job requires good interpersonal/communications skills. You must be willing to learn maintenance skills including plumbing, heating and mechanical, locksmithing, drywall, painting, roofing, tile work, carpentry, or concrete. You must be a BSC member and meet student eligibility guidelines to hold this job.
PREFERRED: Experience in one or more of the following areas: Plumbing, Heating and Mechanical, Locksmithing, Carpentry, Drywall, Painting, Tile Work, or Concrete. Previous experience in these areas, however, is not required. Please note it is NOT a requirement to live in Fenwick/Rochdale to hold the position.
HOURS/PAY: This is an 8-hour/week job compensated at $18.00/hour. More hours may be available for those seeking additional hours/compensation. This job begins immediately and lasts indefinitely.
