JOB DESCRIPTION: The Dairy Coordinator receives, packs and inventories dairy, alternative milk, yogurt, and ice-cream. The Dairy Coordinator must produce accurate receiving, order processing, and inventory records, as well as report discrepancies to the CFS Supervisor. The Dairy Coordinator will also train and supervise workshift assistants. Additionally, the Dairy Coordinator must maintain clean, sanitary, and organized working areas, including refrigerators and freezers, and any work surfaces used. The Dairy Coordinator is responsible for security of the office, work area, and refrigerators when other crews are not working. The Dairy Coordinator also must be willing to perform other duties as requested by the CFS Supervisor or Assistant CFS Supervisor, including assisting other CFS workers when necessary.

REQUIREMENTS: You must be an eligible BSC member to hold this position.  You must be able to lift 50 lbs and occasionally more on a regular and continuous basis. You must be willing to learn dairy quality and storage requirements.  You must know how to count accurately and keep good records. Common sense and good judgment are necessary and you must be well organized, responsible, and reliable and able to work well with people in a team situation. Some knowledge of BSC food service and/or other food distribution systems is helpful.  You may not be a member of the Board of Directors and hold a central level job.  You cannot hold a compensated house-level position and this position concurrently. You must be a current BSC member and meet student eligibility guidelines to hold this position.  

HOURS/PAY:  This is a 12-hour/week position, compensated with a rent credit at $16.00/hour for 7 hours/week and fulfilling your five-hours/week workshift requirement. Apartment residents will receive an additional rent credit stipend for the five workshift hours (at $16.00/hour), as this job does not replace the workshift requirement in this instance. If for whatever reason this job begins mid-semester, the stipend will be prorated. This position starts in Fall and lasts indefinitely, although you would not work during the summer (as CFS operates only during Fall & Spring Semesters). This job is eligible for work-study compensation.
