Everyone needs a helping hand at times. Below you will find a list of resources to help with outside mental health services for families or individual, food or housing programs and/or local charities to help with bills.

Description: Math-only learning center for kids in grades 1-12. Instruction not only explains math concepts in different and unique ways, they also set aside time to help with homework.

Description: Kuder is an online tool that can be subscribed by parents to help career exploration become more interactive. Kuder Galaxy is the elementary career exploration site where kids can play games, watch video, download activities and explore different career opportunities. Parents can choose to take a 'sneak peak' where a video will play explaining the different activities and about the site before subscribing.

Description: This is an inpatient facility serving ages 12 and above for patients patients who require acute care with psychiatric, mental or behavior challenges. Free assessments and admissions are provided 24/7.

Texas A&M Counseling and Assessment Clinic:

Description:A community based clinic that provides counseling services to low-income families in the Brazos Valley. This is a training facility headed by psychologists who practice evidence-based therapy and work with school aged children and up. They charge on a sliding fee scale where most of the Jones parents pay an average of $6 per session.

Description: A non-profit organization which provides family, group and individual counseling for children aged 3-17 with a serious emotional or behavior disorder. Children on Medicaid take priority when setting up appointments and they also charge on a sliding fee schedule. I have attached the fee list here.

Description: BVCASA provides services for those with alcohol or substance abuse help. They have outpatient services for children ages 13-17 and adults. Screening is available at the number above.

Patients that are accepted are those with do not have health insurance and do not qualify for government programs such as Medicaid, Medicare or County Indigent funds.

Description: They coordinate programs such as SNAP, TANF, Medicaid and Women's Health to provide for Brazos Valley community needs. They also work closely with Jones to create a backpack program where students who show need are given a backpack of dry goods to take home over the weekend.
