Got a MyCourses or Canvas problem at 4am on a Sunday? You can get help! Users of MyCourses and Canvas can now receive 24/7 Help Desk support for these systems via phone, chat and email 365 days of the year. Here’s how it works:
Call our regular help desk number, 401-863-HELP (4357) and follow the prompts to get MyCourses and Canvas support.
Email: email Help@Brown.edu , please include “MyCourses” or “Canvas” in your subject line.
Within MyCourses, open a chat session with a specialist by choosing the “Get Help Using Our Live Chat” link in the Campus Bookmarks section:
Within Canvas, open a chat session with a specialist by clicking the Help link on the top right corner and then selecting “Get Help Using Our Live Chat.”:
In both systems, there is an option to receive an email transcription of the chat in case you need to refer back to it.
Please note that 24/7 support is available only for MyCourses and Canvas at this time-other services are still supported during regular Help Desk hours, which remain 8:00am-4:00pm in the summer and 8:30am-5:00pm during the school year.
