Many universities and hospitals have been involved in the work of the New England Family Study over the past 30 years. Oversight for the project is based at the Brown University School of Public Health following several decades at the Harvard School of Public Health. Current lead institutions in the Boston area include the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, and several units at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital – the site where Boston mothers enrolled into the project over 50 years ago.
