HET Seminar: The HET seminar is a chance to learn about active, cutting-edge, and up to date research in high energy theory. Outside speakers from around the world visit and discuss recent advances in their field through a talk and presentation. HET seminars are usually held on Wednesday afternoons during school semesters. (see calendar: usually Wednesday's at 2:30 PM) The seminars are open to everyone.
HET Research Club: The HET research club is a chance for students, faculty, and post-docs to get together and stay up to date on all the various areas of current high energy theory research. The journal club consists of informal talks, given by members of the HET group, to serve as a review of current research trends. The journal club meets every other week during the school semesters. (see calendar: usually Monday's at 12:30 PM) The journal club is open to everyone.
HET Journal Club: The student journal club is a chance for younger researchers to present their own research and develop their understanding of the high energy field. During journal club students will review topics in high energy physics, discuss recent papers, and present updates on their own research. The presentations are informal discussions and chalk-talks. The journal club meets every other week during the school semesters. (see calendar: usually Thursday's at 12:00 PM) The journal club is closed to faculty members; students and post-docs welcome.
