Attendees: Carrie, Stephanie, Ed, Keith, Pat, Judith, Geri, Sarah, Jen, Anita

Stephanie Obodda introduced us to a variety of Google tools for Gmail available via Google Labs. She demonstrated how to enable/disable the tools. We were impressed with how the tools vary in function - there are tools for making email for manageable (Multiple Inboxes, Quick Links), more functional (Right Side Chat, Canned Responses, Quote Selected Text) and more dynamic (Unread Message Icon, Inserting Images). We also caught a glimpse of a future Google Calendar release (Appointment Slots).

Webcast Option

This month we launched the webcast option for GUFTLR. Ed Casey set up and managed the online conference room, communicated with remote participants and ensured they were able to see/hear everything shared in the live session. We think the webcast option will be a great opportunity for those who have limited time or limited ability to travel to main campus.

One online participent noted, 'This was worth every minute!' and we think that applies to both the live session as well as the webcast.

We look forward to seeing you, live or online, on July 26 when Hong facilitates the forum Google Forms & Spreadsheets.
