2016 Events

November - On November 20th, a cold Sunday afternoon before Thanksgiving, fourteen Brown Club members and family visited the new National Museum of Industrial History in South Bethlehem. A docent, who has been a long-term volunteer at the museum (and also a grade school classmate of one of our members on the visit -- small world!), gave us a tour of some of the museum highlights.

After the museum visit, most of us (plus a couple of additions) adjourned to the nearby Bonn Place Brewing Company for a social hour. The fine brews at Bonn and snack provided by the club seem to be enjoyed by all. We also got an interesting explanation of the brewing process at Bonn Place (it would be a bit of an exaggeration to call it a tour, as it encompassed a single room) from chief brewer and co owner Sam Masatto. Photos

July On July 16th, The Brown Club of Eastern PA had a fun filled evening watching the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs baseball game at Coca Cola Park. Local alumni and their families were joined by 3 area students who will be matriculating to Brown this fall, as part of the Class of 2020. It was a great summer evening to watch a ball game, meet local alumni, and sample the ball park menu in our private seating area. An Iron Pigs victory and post game fireworks were an added bonus! Photos
