HISTORYPrinceton University does not have an established Asian American Studies department or program. Their Asian American Studies coursework is also limited to one or two courses per semester within the American Studies department. There is no Ethnic Studies program or Asian American Studies track within American Studies.
After years of student led protests and sit-ins, they were able to get a new Asian American Studies course (ENG224) in April 2012. The students continue to push for the establishment of an Asian American Studies certificate program (http://www.dailyprincetonian.com/2012/04/27/30790).
The AAS coursework at Princeton is extremely limited. Since April 2012, they offer a cross-listed English/American Studies course titled Asian American Law, Bodies and the Everyday.
