BUG is working in collaboration with
well as the surrounding neighborhoods to establish and sustain a community and education garden.

The garden offers Gardner Elementary school students and teachers the opportunity to apply a myriad of subjects, including science, math, language arts, history, cooking, nutrition, to an outdoor living laboratory.

BUG helps teach garden and nutrition education to interested K-5 teachers at Gardner Academy. BUG is also in
the process of making curriculum available to teachers and parent volunteers so they can have the option of teaching
Gardner's garden also serves the broader community as a community resource.

Monthly community garden workdays bring students, staff, parents and community members together.

The garden is located in the Northeast corner of Gardner Academy.
