What We Do‎ > ‎

School-Wide Events

We hold a variety of School-Wide Events with the goal of building a strong Broadmeadow community by allowing families a chance to interact outside of the school day. As a large school, we have found that holding these events works well. Most of these events are offered to Broadmeadow families for free. Some events charge a nominal fee, typically less than $5, to cover the costs of supplies or facility rentals.  Those events are indicated by a ($).

We are always looking for ideas for new events!  If you have an idea, please contact one of the School-Wide Events Coordinators at SchoolWideEvents@broadmeadowptc.org.

Popsicle Party
The Popsicle Party is held on the school playground following the Open House the week before school starts.  Come enjoy a popsicle while catching up with old friends and meeting new families.

Pasta Dinner($)
Take a night off from cooking and join fellow Broadmeadow families for a pasta dinner in the cafeteria.

Ice Skating Party($)
Bring your skates (or rent them) and come out for a skating party with Broadmeadow families at Babson Skating Center in January.

Bingo Night($)
This is one of Broadmeadow's most popular events!  There are two seatings and we typically sell out.  Celebrity 5th graders call the numbers and prizes are available for winners.

Broadmeadow International Festival
Join us for our school-wide potluck celebrating the diversity of the families at Broadmeadow. Bring a favorite family dish to share.  Kids receive passports to get stamped at each activity station where they can play games or do activities to learn about different cultures.  The evening includes performances such as dancers or demonstrations.  Don't miss this fun event!

Family Sports Outings
Join other Broadmeadow families to watch a professional sports game!  Past outings have included the Paw Sox, the Red Sox, the Providence Bruins and the Celtics!

Broadmeadow vs Mitchell Basketball Game($)
This annual game has been a tradition for decades!  Cheer on the Broadmeadow team of teachers and parents as they take on Mitchell.  There is a free-throw contest at half time for 5th graders and Broadmeadow's band supplies the music!

Playground Picnic
Join Broadmeadow families for one last night of fun before school ends.  Enjoy a picnic on the school playground while kids play.  Pizza and ice cream are available for purchase.

Transferring Family Welcome
The School Community Coordinators reach out to all new non-kindergarten families that are transferring into Broadmeadow to help answer questions and ease their transition into a new school.  A New Family Reception is held after the annual PTC Open House so all new families get a chance to meet each other.
