Your Portfolio Day materials (resume & cover letter) must be submitted digitally as a .pdf file to the Google Classroom by Monday, March 27th

In addition, you MUST bring a hard copy of your resume, cover letter, and letters of recommendation to school with you on the last Khan Day (Wed, Mar. 29th). Staff will be present that day to help you finalize your documents for your interviews.

If you have any questions, see your English teacher, Mr. Noll, or the Office staff for help.

You need to bring:
  1. Three references with name, their job title (if it is a work reference), address, phone number, and email. Ask your reference for permission prior to using them. No relatives.
  2. Month and year of current and/or past employers.
  3. List of your extra-curricular activities with the years you were involved.
  4. List of community service with years involved.
  5. Education for high school and college with years attended (you will not be putting elementary and middle school education on your resume).

The 2017 Variety Show is THIS FRIDAY in the BHS Performing Arts Center. The show starts at 7:00 PM and admission is only $5.00 at the door. Come and support some awesome Bridgman talent!

Prom 2017: An Evening with Gatsby
April 22nd from 7:00-11:00 PM
at the Heritage Center in St. Joe.

Tickets will be sold before school and during lunches starting March 27th through April 14th
Tickets are $30 each.
  • Jrs. & Srs. may bring a Freshman or Soph. to the Prom as their date, but only the upperclassman may purchase the tickets. Additionally, both students need to arrive and leave at the same time.
  • Freshmen & Sophomores may only attend Post Prom if they attended Prom.
  • All clothing should be at least fingertip length with no exposed midriffs. Strapless/spaghetti straps are permitted at Prom.
Prom Guest Form - Completed forms must be FAXED to the BHS Office by 3:00 PM on April 14th.

All Post Prom attendees need a sign permission slip specifically for Post Prom. Completed forms must be brought into the BHS Office by 3:00 PM on April 14th
No exceptions!

Attention Paris & Barcelona Travelers:
You MUST attend the last meeting before our departure this Friday, March 24th. Be there at either 7:30 AM or at 3:05 PM for your final details! Seniors, you many NOT travel with us if you miss this meeting.

Any guys that have an interest in playing fall soccer, please sign your name on the Soccer Interest Sheet in the Office by March 31st.

Seniors that do NOT hand in childhood pictures before spring break will NOT be in the slideshow!

As of now, it will be a very, very short slideshow.

Come shop for a FREE prom dress! The Junior League of South Bend, Inc. and Ziker Cleaners are partnering together once again to host Princess for a Night.
This event takes place at the Century Center in downtown South Bend on Saturday, April 1st from 8 AM - Noon. You are asked to arrive by 11:30 AM, and you need to bring your student ID with you.

Senior Skip Day? 
The only Senior Skip Day is June 5th. 

Participating in any other senior skip day could jeopardize the privilege of walking at graduation. 

Be smart. Come to school.

Do you know a young woman interested in a business career?
The Calvin Young Women's Business Institute is an exciting (and free!) 3-day summer program for young women who are entering their Junior or Senior year of high school in the fall of 2017.
They will live on the campus of Calvin College, interact with professors and network with business leaders from places like Amway, Steelcase, United Way, and Wolverine Worldwide.
When: June 21st-23rd
Where: Calvin College
Applications are due: May 15th
Cost: Free

For a senior trip, you have chosen Grad Night at Six Flags!
It will be May 20th and we will leave the school at 6:30 PM (tentatively) and should arrive back around 7 AM. If you plan on going, you need to sign up with Mrs. Countess or Mrs. Veldman and pay your $30 fee by March 28th.

for Juniors
at Grand Valley State University
on March 31st and April 7th.
Register online at gvsu.edu/visit and click on "Visit" and then "Events" or call (800)748-0246.

Juniors and Seniors interested in Michigan Tech should check their gobeesgo email for an invite to meet a rep on Thursday, April 27th at 1 PM.

Your Senior Portraits must be uploaded into the Class of 2017 Senior Portrait Google File no later than Friday, March 31st.

Your portrait MUST meet the following specifications:
  1. MUST be 1MB or more of resolution/memory
  2. MUST be in .jpg file format
  3. MUST be submitted before Spring Break
If any of these criteria are not met, your portrait will NOT be published in the yearbook. Instead, your student ID photo will be used.

Please remember to keep applying for scholarships (FREE MONEY FOR COLLEGE!). Many of our local scholarships are due in March and April and are for BHS students only.

Financial Aid Fridays!

Lake Michigan College is offering FREE help applying for financial aid!

Any student who needs help completing the FAFSA is welcome on any LMC campus during Financial Aid Fridays.

Dates: Fridays, January 6 - March 24, 2017
between 2-4 PM

at Benton Harbor, Niles, and South Haven campuses. Please check in at the welcome center or main office for room location.

What to bring:
  • Tax Returns of student and parent(s) for 2015
  • W-2 forms for anyone who did not file a 2015 tax return
  • Social Security numbers of student and parent(s)
  • FSA ID if the student has an account for the FAFSA
