Honors physical science is a class that is academically rigorous. The class is far less memorization than students have encountered in the past, and seeks to immerse students in the scientific process. That being said, do not become discouraged if it takes a little getting used to- in the end you will be a better learner and more inquisitive about the world around you.
Students are guided through experiments in which they create, record, and analyze data before discussing and formulating a conclusion. As a rule, a student's rationale supporting any given response is of greater value than the actual answer. Here, habits of mind and sound scientific reasoning take precedence over memorization and rote learning.
Please make sure you come prepared with a calculator each day. I can't wait to enjoy this science journey with you!
