The Wellcome Trust - DBT alliance
generous fellowships (about $350K for four years) at the Post-Doc Level
for talented students to come to India. These fellowships also allow the
student to spend a couple of years in a collaborator's lab abroad.
These are internationally-reviewed, prestigious awards and will
strengthen a student's CV if they are successful. Students need not be
Indian citizens to apply. Please pass along the information below to
students in your respective labs who may be interested in this.

The India Alliance is pleased to announce a new competition for
the Early Career Fellowships. These Fellowships are for
postdoctoral researchers, from anywhere in the world, to
work in India. Preliminary applications due
by 17 August 2011.
Early Career applicants have to identify a Fellowship
Supervisor at the host Institution in India, in whose
laboratory they can carry out their project. This is an
opportunity for you and other senior scientists at your
institution to recruit skilled postdoctoral researchers.
