COMPUTER SCIENCE ALUMNI NETWORKING AND CAREER FAIR (1/27/2014)

This event is sponsored by the Hiatt Career Center, The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS) and the Computer Science Department at Brandeis University. It is open to all Brandeis students (grad and undergrad) and alumni as well as all potential employers.

Event Overview

Brandeis University's 1st Annual
Computer Science Alumni Networking and Career Fair
Monday January 27th, 2014 5:30-8:30
Shapiro Science Center Atrium


Explore careers in Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technology
and other disciplines, learn about the manifold job opportunities available for Computer
Scientists and network with graduates of our BA, BS, MA, and PhD programs who are now
working in this rapidly growing field.


EVENT TIMELINE


5:30 pm VIP Reception
Alumni and Table Hosts register and get a chance to network with
each other and with Computer Science faculty at this on-campus cocktail
reception which will be held in the Volen Center Lounge. Drinks and light
refreshments will be available. Cosponsored by the Hiatt Career Center and
the Computer Science Department.

6:00 pm Student Registration

6:30 Welcoming remarks

6:40 Student Entrepreneur Pitches
A selection of students give elevator pitches for their recent entrepreneurial projects and invite
feedback from the alumni.

7:00 Roundtable Networking for Students and Table Hosts
Following the panel discussion, students will rotate to different
networking tables hosted by alumni and industry volunteers
to learn about their organization, job function and career paths.

8:30 Closing Remarks and Acknowledgements

Students are strongly encouraged to get their resumes approved for inclusion in the Resume Book by following the directions on the Resume Approval page.

Professional dress ("business casual") is strongly recommended.
