About the Club

Club Description

We are a diverse group dedicated to spreading awareness about the severe human rights abuses perpetrated towards the Palestinian people today by the State of Israel. We stand in solidarity with the global grassroots movement led by Palestinian activists fighting for the right to live as a people with freedom and dignity in their historic homeland as an integral part of the global struggle against all forms of oppression. We believe that the Palestinian struggle is only one of a multitude of struggles against white supremacy, misogyny, colonialism, imperialism, homophobia, transmisogyny, and capitalism, and we salute and stand in solidarity with all who fight these struggles.

As American activists, we do not believe it is our place to tell people on the ground in Israel-Palestine, and to the Palestinian diaspora, what solution is right for them. However, we believe that any solution must allow both Jews and Palestinians to be able to live with full and equal rights in Israel-Palestine. This is not possible under a state that, by design, privileges Jews over Palestinians. And as is evident today, the Israeli state maintains its power through discriminatory laws towards its Palestinian citizens, direct military occupation of the West Bank and blockade of the Gaza Strip, and by denying Palestinian refugees the right to return to the villages they were expelled from decades before. We follow the lead of Palestinian activists in spreading awareness about daily abuses, and see ourselves as one small part of a mass movement demanding justice.
