Club Description

Health Occupations Students of America is the premier national organization exclusively dedicated to providing opportunities for high-school and post-secondary/collegiate students to learn, grow, and become compassionate, competent, healthcare professionals. Founded in 1976, HOSA now comprises over 100,000 student members in over 2,600 chapters in 46 state associations including the District of Columbia and the territory of Puerto Rico, and is officially endorsed by the Federal Department of Education. 

BENEFITS OF HOSA INCLUDE: The opportunity to apply for over $200,000 dollars in scholarships awarded annually at the National Leadership Conference Volunteer Recognition Awards at the National Leadership Conference for outstanding service to your community, the opportunity to compete against thousands of other highly-motivated students in 55 different health occupations- and leadership-related competitive events at the annual State and National Leadership Conferences, elected leadership positions at the local, state, and national levels, educational symposia hosted by leaders in the healthcare industry and offered at the State and National Leadership Conferences, networking opportunities with the forty-nine national healthcare professional associations, government departments, and businesses that have active partnerships with National HOSA. These include the American Medical Association, the American Dental Association, the American Cancer Society, Nursing Spectrum, Autism Speaks, the American Red Cross, the Medical Reserve Corps, and many more.
