Swinter Games!

The SWINTER Games is a combination of Summer and Winter Olympic events that are modified to fit the Stony Brook gymnasium and our students.

Each class participates in a SWINTER game event during the World Culture Period which the classes have once every six weeks.

The students not only participate in the activity but also spend the last 5 minutes of class discussing the history and origin and the event.

Each class earns points based on the their performance. The classes compete against each other for "bragging rights" and to try and earn Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals.

This school wide competition is a great way to teach students the value of respecting the game and learning how to win and lose graciously.
