Hour of Code

What is the Hour of Code?
Hour of Code is about getting millions of students to try computer science for just one hour during Computer Science Education Week, the second week of December.  At BCMS we'll do the Hour of Code on Enrichment Day 2, Jan 2, 2015.

If this is your first Hour of Code, sign in with your Google account (BCMS email/password) and try a beginning activity like Angry Birds and Plants vs. Zombies, Frozen or other tutorials for beginners.

If your ready for more, go to Code.org/learn and sign in with your Google account (BCMS email/password)
and find another beginning coding activity, try a Javascript tutorial or make your own app or game.

Other Coding Adventures;
Khan Academy's custom made tutorial for students requires no prior experience  - anybody can learn -- or try

The founders of Facebook, Microsoft, and Google all started their journeys with just one line of code. Our kids should all have the chance to create the technology of the future, not just use it. I can't wait to see what everyone makes!

Sal,
Founder of Khan Academy, lover of code
