On 22nd December at 9.30 am, a session on career in Defence Forces by Arth Shastra Foundation was conducted.

The Principal, seniorteachers, and children gathered to pack the school library to its capacity to attend the motivational lecture by the keynote speaker Retd. General P.K. Seighal.

The charismatic personality of Gen. Saighal made everyone spell bond. Students were briefed regarding the prospects of joining the Indian armed forces. The entry schemes for women were also elaborated. Students were briefed about the adventurous life of armed forces.

As the event progressed, the quotient of interest coupled with self-thinking and allied thought processes rose. The good turnout at the event dropped ample hints that the students were looking forward to its dose of pep talk.

The best part of the entire lecture was on success, as it's virtually the best word for anyperson. General Saighal said success cannot be attributed to practice alone, as practice in the wrong direction would take someone away from it. Secondly, in order to achieve success, one must be emotionally attached to the goal, and only then would he/she be able to put the best foot forward.

The enthusiastic students had many queries during the interactive session. They were motivated by the story of Gen. Saighal, and made the supreme sacrifice for the country during Indo- Pak Wars at different times.

The Principal at the end stated that such sessions definitely boost the morale of the children, and this may motivate them to join the armed forces.
