Google Cloud Print

Google Cloud Print
Google Cloud Print allows you to print from the Google Chrome web browser (while it is running on any device, including Chromebooks), to existing printers that are connected to a Windows or Mac computer at school or at home.

You only need to register a printer ONCE with your Google account to then print from it in Chrome from any device. You do NOT need to register the same printer more than once.

We have NOT found Google Cloud Print to work reliably with our WiFi-only printers; for those, use HP Print for Chrome.

To register the printer with your Google Chrome account so that you can access it via Google Cloud Print:
  1. Login to the Windows or Mac computer at school or at home that can already access the printer in question and would normally be on when you are wanting to print remotely from another device. (Such as a teacher station at school to access a school printer, or a desktop computer at home that is connected to a home printer.)
  2. Open the Google Chrome web browser on that computer.
  3. Login to your school Google account at accounts.google.com
  4. In a new tab in the browser, type chrome://devices in the address bar and click ENTER
  5. You’ll see a list of devices already registered with Google Cloud Print, and new devices available on the network.
  6. Under "Classic printers,” click Add printers.
  7. You'll see a confirmation that Google Cloud Print has been enabled. If the computer you are using accesses multiple printers, you can pick and choose which ones to register with your Google Chrome account. Tip: To learn more, click Manage your printers after you have registered.
The original computer you used to access the printer may need to be on for you to successfully print via Google Cloud Print.

Anytime you want to see or manage the printers connected to your Google account via Google Cloud Print, use this link:
You can then click on an entry in that list to highlight it, and then you can click to see the Print Jobs, delete or rename that entry, etc.
