The 2019 senior class of Bartlesville High School will be honored on May 24 in graduation ceremonies beginning at 8 p.m. at Custer Stadium.  Principal LaDonna Chancellor said approximately 375 seniors are eligible to graduate.

Seniors are reminded that the group picture in caps and gowns has been scheduled for 6:45 p.m. on May 24.

Inclement Weather Plan
In case of inclement weather, the graduation ceremony will be moved into the Bruin Field House.  Inclement weather seating will also be available in the Fine Arts Center auditorium and the Commons area for live big-screen showings of the ceremony.  Each senior will receive six (6) tickets for seating in the Bruin Field House. Overflow seating in the Commons area and the Fine Arts Auditorium does not require a ticket. Tickets are given to each student when he or she picks up the cap & gown.  Cap & gown distribution began on May 9.

Live Stream
If you have family members who cannot attend graduation, the school hopes to live-stream the graduation ceremony on the BHS Facebook page and the Examiner-Enterprise will have a live stream on its Facebook page.

Ceremony Information
Graduation ceremonies will include speeches by the president of the student body, Aarya Ghonasgi, and the senior class president, Lane Cabler.  Members of the Bartlesville Public Schools administration and Board of Education will participate as well.

Mrs. Chancellor advises parents and relatives to arrive early; gates will open at 6:00 p.m. Enter through the northwest and southeast entrances to the stadium.  Family members are invited on the field to take pictures after the graduates have been formally dismissed.

Project Graduation
Seniors will also be honored following graduation with an all-night party held at the Boys & Girls Club. The Project Graduation chairperson says students can check in between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. with a driver’s license or photo ID. That event will last until 2:00 a.m. Only graduating seniors are eligible to attend the event. Parents of graduates work very hard to provide a fun evening that is also safe and substance-free and offers seniors the opportunity to celebrate such a special evening with their friends.
