Area walk and run for charitable causes

A couple of area events are being highlighted by current and former district employees.
BPSD bus driver Michael Whitney is promoting the 2017 Walk to End Alzheimer's at the University of Tulsa. The event begins with a party at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 23 and the walk begins at 9 a.m.

Register at TULSAWALK.ORG or text ALZWALK to the number 51555 to form a new team, join an existing one, or register as an individual. There is no individual registration fee, but participants who raise $100 or more earn an official T-shirt.

Walk to End Alzheimer's
Funding goes to the Alzheimer's Association. Donations can be made online at tulsawalk.org, sent via mail, or hand-delivered to:

Former BPSD teacher Ronda Taraboletti is hosting the A21 Walk for Freedom Bartlesville on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 8-10 a.m. at Johnstone Park.

This global event is held in hundreds of venues worldwide. A21 is a worldwide organization which opposes modern day slavery through education, prevention, and rescue. You can register online.
