The renovations to the historic auditorium at Central, originally constructed in 1926, have been completed.

The auditorium's previous large-scale renovation was in the mid 1990s, and it was the only area of the site which was NOT renovated by the 2013 bond issue.

The 2016 bond issue funded:
  • Repair of plaster rot on the east wall
  • Replacement of the worn out carpeting
  • Replacement of the old seating on the main level with new seats comparable to those in the Fine Arts Center at the high school
  • Historic balcony seating retained, making use of some intact seating from the main level
  • Low balcony rail addressed with a new higher rail atop reinforced safety glass panels to preserve sight lines
  • Audiovisual system updates
