BHS Theatre will present a 90-minute production of William Shakespeare's The Tempest on Thursday, October 11 and Saturday, October 13 at 7 p.m. at the BHS Fine Arts Center off 18th Street between Hillcrest Drive and Shawnee Avenue.

Tickets at the door will be $8 for faculty and students and $10 for adults.

The play is set on a remote island. In the BHS version, the sorceress Prospero plots to restore her daughter Miranda to her rightful royal station by using illusions and manipulations. Prospero conjures up the storm of the play's title, which leads the usurper Antonio and the Queen of Naples to believe they are marooned on the island. There Antonio's lowly nature is revealed, the Queen is redeemed, and romance blossoms between Miranda and Ferdinand, the son of the Queen.
