The Bartlesville Regional Chamber of Commerce honored area women in February 2018 for their contribution to local business during the Celebration of Women gala held at Hillcrest Country Club.

LaDonna Chancellor, the principal of Bartlesville High School, received the Investing in Our Future award for making a positive impact on the leaders of tomorrow.

Sherri Wilt, the President of the Chamber of Commerce, stated, "The Chamber values the importance of a good educational system and that only happens with strong leaders at the helm. So last year we added this award to our line-up because we wanted to be able to focus an award specifically on those in the education arena who make an impact on our future leaders. We received several great nominations for LaDonna, and it was the Chamber’s honor to recognize her for her work at BHS. She is truly a caring, hardworking leader who only wants the best for her teachers, staff, and all students."

Ms. Chancellor is in her sixth year as the principal of Bartlesville High School, the longest tenure of anyone in that position since at least the 1980s. Prior to that, she served as the principal of Central Middle School for four years.
