Poms win top honors in Missouri and Jenks

The Bartlesville Pom Squad swept the competition on January 20-21, 2018 at the Lee’s Summit North Dance Invitational in Missouri. The Bartlesville Varsity Pom team won the overall highest award for scoring the most points with all three of their routines. The team won first in the Hip Hop division, placed second in Pom, and placed fourth in Jazz.  They earned the “Outstanding Showmanship” award for the Varsity Hip Hop routine. 
 
The Bartlesville JV Pom squad also won first in their division in Pom, Jazz, and Hip Hop.  

Junior Cassie Harding took twelfth in the junior solo division and sophomore Gloria Castillo took third with her lyrical solo in that division. Freshman Savannah Kuehn took fourth in her division with her contemporary solo and fifteenth with her hip hop solo. Cassie Harding and Gloria Castillo also took seventh with their duet.
 
Varsity Pom won first place overall on January 13 at the Dance for a Cure competition in Jenks with their pom routine and Bartlesville JV Pom won first place overall in the 9th grade category with their jazz routine.  Varsity Pom will be heading on February 15 to Orlando, Florida where they will compete to defend their national titles.
